Mission Statement

	To promote labour peace by means of a central negotiating forum for the negotiation and implementation of conditions of employment. It goes beyond the mere maintaining of labour peace. The Bargaining Council is also there to bring about a favourable, positive and constructive relationship between employers and employees. Council delegates and staff aim to reach the following ojectives: To provide a centralised forum for the negotiation of conditions of employment by elected delegated. To actively promote an understanding of the roles of the Bargaining Council to all stakeholders. To oversee the administration of the Bargaining Council on the basis of a trusteeship of Industry moneys and to pro-actively ensure the continuity of the funding of benefits to meet future requirements
